Step 1: Initial Application
- Complete our online Build Partner application, provide basic company information and service capabilities, share examples of past commercial renovation projects, and indicate your geographic service area and capacity.
What we're evaluating:
- Commercial renovation experience, project management capabilities, financial stability and bonding capacity, and geographic alignment with our market needs.
Timeline: 1-2 days for initial review
Step 2: Qualification Assessment
- Participate in a detailed qualification interview, review your portfolio of completed projects, discuss your team structure and capabilities, and evaluate your capacity for franchise-specific work.
What we're evaluating:
- Quality of workmanship, attention to detail and brand compliance, team capacity and resource availability, and communication style and responsiveness.
Timeline: 3-5 days for assessment completion
Step 3: Partnership Consultation
- Meet with our Partnership Development team, review the Franchise Flow partnership model in detail, discuss revenue goals and opportunity expectations, and explore specific franchise brands in your market.
What we're evaluating:
- Alignment with Franchise Flow values and approach, growth goals and partnership expectations, financial alignment with partnership model, and commitment to franchise renovation specialization.
Timeline: 1 week for consultation scheduling and completion
Step 4: Reference Verification
- We contact your provided references, speak with past commercial clients, verify licensing, insurance, and bonding, and conduct background financial assessment.
What we're evaluating:
- Client satisfaction and project outcomes, adherence to timelines and budgets, problem resolution approach, and financial stability and business practices.
Timeline: 1-2 days for thorough verification
Step 5: Partnership Agreement
- Review and sign the Build Partner agreement, complete initial investment, set up monthly membership payment method, and establish communication protocols.
What we're evaluating:
- Commitment to partnership requirements, understanding of fee structure and terms, alignment on communication expectations, and readiness to begin the onboarding process.
Timeline: 3-5 days for agreement completion
Step 6: Onboarding and Training
- Complete our comprehensive onboarding program, receive access to the Partner Portal and resources, participate in franchise standards training, and set up project management templates and systems.
What you'll master:
- Franchise renovation best practices, brand standards and compliance requirements, franchise-specific project management approaches, and communication protocols for franchise clients.
Timeline: 1 week for complete onboarding
Step 7: First Opportunity
- Receive your first franchise renovation opportunity, get comprehensive project briefing and support, meet the franchise decision-maker with our team, and develop your first franchise-specific proposal.
How we support you:
- Provide detailed brand requirements, offer proposal development guidance, facilitate introduction and relationship building, and support pricing and timeline development.
Timeline: First project introductions begin immediately after onboarding, with opportunities typically materializing within 4-6 weeks
Partnership Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Business Establishment with minimum 3 years in business, commercial renovation expertise, strong financial position and credit history, comprehensive liability and workers' compensation insurance, all required state/provincial and local licenses, appropriate bonding capacity for project sizes, and strong client references and project history.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous work with franchise brands, ability to handle multiple locations simultaneously, dedicated project management and site supervision, digital project management and communication tools, established quality control processes, excellent safety history and protocols, and strong communication systems and responsiveness.
